We haven't had the internet for almost two years so never the less it has been harder to keep up on our blog. The boys are growing up so fast. Boyd loves the Iron Man movie and can quote it as he plays with the action figures from it. Its fun to watch him run around and to tell stories about all of his adventures, He never slows down. we started potty training about a month ago and he has done so well. I'm so proud of him and I'm very excited that I dont have to buy diapers for him anymore...

Fisher is such a happy baby, He always seems to have a smile on his face. He loves playing with the dog and trys to follow Boyd over the back of the couch or up the stairs. He is crawling all over. He has been pulling himself up and trying to walk along the furniture. He is a very wiggly, active boy. trying to hold him is like trying to hold a slippery, slimey fish.He is a lot of fun!
I have picked up sewing. I think it's safe to say that I'm addicted. I enjoy making myself things, but most of my sewing time is spent making things for Afton. This next week or so I'm going to make her a blessing dress. I'm really excited to have a little girl on the way.

We have been doing a little remodeling these past few weeks

We had a closet next to our stairs that we decided to change a little...We knocked down part of a wall added a couple of windows and had to move around some plumbing, but it gave us enough space to have a fun room for Boyd to play in downstairs.
We had a lot of fun working together

Even Boyd was anxious for the room to be finished.

We got everything done except for the base molding and the camouflage netting we got for the door and curtains.

There used to be a regular door here...

The room is so much fun. Boyd loves it!!!

For Halloween this year Boyd was Buzz Light year and Fisher was Woody. Chris and I made our costumes we were characters from the movie Coraline.

It was a lot of wasted effort because it turns out nobody has even heard of the movie... But we were impressed with ourselves.

Boyd's Half Birthday

Its official Boyd turned a year and a half yesterday. He is so much fun to be around. There is never a dull moment with him. Boyd loves to talk your ear off and for the most part you can understand what he is saying which I LOVE!!! He can Spell out his name and whenever he colors he pretends he is writing it out. He loves pointing out trucks, cars and bugs... We can spend all day outside playing with the water out of the hose and squashing bugs. He loves to read his books especially his animal books. We are so lucky to have such a smart wonderful funny boy he reminds me more and more of his dad everyday. ( and just for my records Boyd is 30 pounds with a size 8 shoe.)

Houston Aquarium

Boyd and I were able to visit Chris out in Texas. Chris had a day off so we went to an aquarium. There was all kinds of fish and animals... We were able to see them feed the alligators and see a snake that was massively huge and two white tigers, but the funnest for Boyd by far was Finding Nemo and Dori. Boyd just loved looking at everything and trying to catch the fish.

We were able to touch the rays and some sharks. Boyd was nervous, but when he finally got to touch them he would just giggle and then try to touch them again.

Boyd thought it was so funny if my head was in the tigers mouth, but he wouldn't even humor the idea of putting his head in... We had such a great time.

Its Time For an Update

It has been a while so those of you who don't know... We are having another BOY!!! We are really excited for Boyd to have a brother that will be so close in age. His name will be Fisher Curtis Gunderson. I'll be induced on September 9th so I only have 5 weeks and 2 days left, but who's counting... :)

Just a few weeks ago I had another ultrasound...
I've never had one so far along and I wasn't really expecting to see Fishers face so clear. It has just made me that more excited to see him in person.

The other day our family and my parents went out for a four wheeler ride near our home. It was a lot of fun although the snow was still to deep for us to get very far so we took advantage of the situation and took a few pictures.

Boyds 1st Birthday!!!

Boyd had his first birthday on the 5th... It was so much fun. And for the family members that couldn't make it these are for you... We miss you guys... But I warn you now there are a LOT of pictures!!!

For dinner We made Pizza from scratch... It was really fun watching all the kids make there own pizza. It turned out very yummy!!! We had tables set up with paper as the table cloth so the kids could color while the pizza baked.

Boyd went first and Chris helped him. His first time through he wasn't quite sure what to do, but once he watched his cousins take there turn his second time was much more enjoyable.

Chris made and painted the sword that we used. It looks pretty sweet especially with the inlaid fishing wobbler's that Chris' Grandfather, Boyd painted.

Boyd likes to hit things to make noise, so he loved the pinata.

But after opening a couple, he lost interest and just wanted to play.

His cousins didn't mind helping him open the rest of the gifts while he played on his new drum.
Then it was time for CAKE!!!

we served the cake on a platter that Chris' father made 30 years ago, it has been used for years for all the Gunderson Cakes. Grandma Dorothy was sweet to let me keep that tradition going for Boyd.

The night was so busy we forgot to take a picture of the cake before I cut into it.

Next came my favorite part of the night. Eating the CAKE!!!

He was very neat and careful about it at first.
We gave him the option to use a fork.

But that wasn't going fast enough for him, so it was back to using his hands.he later just picked up the whole piece and snarfed it down.

This would be his second piece(with a lot more frosting)...

I think he was excited to be so dirty...

It was so much fun... After every bite he would make clicking noises with is tongue.

Of course it got in his hair...

But he loved every second of it...

Especially when he got some milk to help wash it down...

Boyd Where Are You?

This morning while I was getting dressed I left the bathroom for a second to talk with Chris. When I came back Boyd was gone... I figured he was in our bedroom so I start heading that why when I see pants in our closet moving. So I say " Boyd where are you?" in the fun voice of hide and go seek... and out pops Boyd... It was so funny!!! Every time I started laughing he would turn around and try to hide again... It was priceless!

Nap Time

I just LOVE nap time

You can just lay him down and he is gone.

lately Boyd's naps have been getting longer and longer and I'm loving it... Its always a nice time for me to catch up and to just relax.

And then there are days like today when he can't take it any longer and just passes out... He does this time to time when he is super tired. It doesn't matter where he is or how loud it is if he wants to sleep he will.

11 Months

Boyd has grown up so fast... This past week especially. Boyd walks everywhere and when he falls he just stands up again and goes. He is getting pretty fast and he tries to almost run. He is very curious and watches everything that goes on. He likes to clime onto the couch and roll off onto the cushion we put down for him. Its so fun to hear him laugh. He is getting another tooth on his lower arch for a total of 7 teeth.
We Converted his crib into a bed a at the first of Dec. just to see how he would do. He has done great in it and loves to clime on and off his bed.
He also likes to explore (Mostly in the kitchen). Boyd loves trying to get into everything he shouldn't. He is a total BOY...

Chris loves the Snow because he is able to park in all kinds of different ways.

He always makes me laugh...

So because it was 8 degrees outside we thought we would stay home. Chris made cookies and thanks to the backpack Grandpa Jolley gave Boyd he was able to watch everything.

Later that evening Cash came over to play while Marci Isabell and I went out.

Dec. 30th is Chris's birthday and for the first time I actually kept his gift a surprise. While Chris Boyd and I were out of the house Nick went to work putting new parts on Chris's bike and moving it into the house. THANKS NICK!!!!

It was fun to see Boyd have his first Christmas morning. He opened half of his first gift, but he seemed to be more interested with watching Ashlyn open her gifts.

Later after dinner and the Baby Blessings for Sadi and Isabell we had a party upstairs. Ashlyn who is the cutest girly girl found some shoes to walk around in. Surprisingly she walked like a pro in them, but with other kids around they all wanted to have shoes to walk in also... It was so funny!!!

10 Months

I haven't been much of a blogger lately... ( Sorry family) But here are some videos of Boyd this past week. Boyd turned 10 months on the 5th. So we were able to go and see the Doctor again. He is still in the 90th percentile for everything... He weighed in at 23 pounds 8 ounces and 30.5 inches tall... He has 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom and he's not afraid to use them so watch out Cash you have some competition... He is so much fun to watch and play around with. He loves being tickled and spun around, he is always on the move.

We were at Chick-fil-A for lunch the other day and we thought we would let Boyd have his first kids meal. It was so much fun watching him eat and we thought we would let him try to drink from the juice box just to see what he would do... much to our surprise he was a natural... all in all it was a very fun lunch.

First Steps

Last night while we were visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Gunderson Boyd took his first steps. I was in the kitchen with Dorothy so we missed his "first" but luckily he keep trying. He would take about 3 steps and then fall down. I'll try to get video of him walking today. In three days he will be 10 months its so amazing how quickly kids learn. ( he doesn't get that from me.) I'm so proud of him.

Our family has been away in Texas for the past month . Chris has a Job out here and we were lucky go with him... Unfortunately I haven't been keeping up on the blog. This past month Boyd has learned how to say Momma and Daddy. Its so fun to here him call our name and crawl to us. His lower right tooth came in last week ( and he hasn't made a fuss about it... Yet... ). Boyd has been trying to balance himself, but he can only stand on his own for a few seconds before he falls.

We were able to visit the Houston Zoo the other day. It was so much better than our zoo back home in Salt Lake.

Boyd will be 7 months in just a few days (on the 5th) ... I can hardly believe it!!! He has learned so much this past month... I am always in amazement with Boyd... Chris and I are so proud of our little guy... He is crawling all over and this past 2 weeks he has been pulling himself up... He is doing so well... Life couldn't be any better...

Yesterday we tried out a few new things that were desperately needed. Boyd was able to try out his new car seat. I felt so bad putting him in his old one with his head to the top and his feet/legs hanging off the seat... (He hated going into his car seat near the end. ) Boyd looks much more comfortable in his new chair.

For breakfast we were able to try out his new or should I say his first buster/ high chair... I love this thing... Boyd not so much, but he'll get over it... :)
We went to the Legacy Center in Lehi with Tracy and Joseph. It was so much fun! Its a small Raging waters for the kids. There was so much to do.
They had this fun set up for the younger swimmers even Boyd was able to play in there infant seats which let me take a few pictures...

But within a few hours he had to much excitement... So me being the nice mom I am... :) just let him sleep and I had to suffer and lay out in the sun... :) It was so nice!!! I can't wait to go again next week...

Marci and Tracy and there kids have come up to Utah for a few weeks . So this past weekend we were able to get together and visit... Little Isabell is sooo cute and the boys are so much fun to be around. Boyds not use to other little kids to play with so it has been fun to watch him interact with everyone...Here is Cash... Its been a while since my last blog... SORRY!!! Here's whats been going on... Chris has been out of town for over 2 weeks now... But he will finish his job in Texas soon and be home next week sometime... ( I'm really excited for that cause I didn't think he was coming home till September.) We might have him home for a week and then he will be off to Virginia for about 6 Weeks. I'm planning on spending a few weeks out there so that should be fun.

I always say this, but.... baby's grow so fast... Boyd is Sitting up, rolling over, and sticking his butt up in the air trying to crawl... He can hold his bottle take it out of his mouth and put it back in without my help... :) ( Its funny the little things that I get so excited over) He is so much fun!!! He loves going on walks and playing with the kids next door.... The picture on the lower right is is a picture of Hallie holding Boyd as her older sister Morgan shows off there new pet... Boyd likes snakes!!! There is something wrong with that.... However, I'm pretty proud of myself I held that thing for about 3 seconds...

For the 4th of July our family went to my Fathers parents house. My Grandmother always throws great parties. And this party was pretty historical cause it is the first time I have ever seen all of my Aunts and Uncles together. So my Grandparents wanted to take a family picture.... But there was a problem.... My dad was still in Arizona... So he asked Chris if he would stand in for him... So that is exactly what he did... Here are some fun pictures...

Our Little Man

It is so amazing how time goes by so quickly

Boyd is so much fun. I know being a mom would be fun, but I never knew it would be this much fun... Boyd is almost 5 months old and he has grown so fast. He had his four month check up almost a month ago his Height was 26 1/4th and his was 19 pounds. he made it to the 97th percentile.
He has learned to hold his own bottle...
but if he drops it he is out of luck. He tries to put it back, but its not always the right way. :)
He just loves playing with his toe...
and he tries very hard to get them in his mouth. Unfortunately he holds his toes so he ends up just putting his hand in his mouth. :)

But he isn't a complainer... as long as he can chew on something he is happy. He has also started to roll over, but he is having trouble making it onto his stomach. But I'm such within a few weeks hi will be rolling all over the place.

Chris, You are such an awesome dad. You have an amazing love for children and now that I see you playing with our own child it brings me so much joy. you are an amazing dad.You were so excited to be a dad. And you worked so hard at making sure everything was perfect for our children. You put so much love in building Boyd's cradle and nursery.

Chris and I were able to go shooting Saturday, however, Boyd wasn't loving his ear protection so I got to sit in the car most of the time. :( So Chris took me out shooting again today. It was so much fun Chris was able to teach me a few more tricks about shooting...

(The Jolley method of shooting) :) And apparently if you actually aim the gun you can hit the skeet...

We decided to go visit Chris's Grandparents on Tuesday. It was very peaceful and beautiful with all the flowers. It was a nice day of reflection.

Here is a Picture of Boyd with his Great Grandfather Boyd. Chris's Grandfather past away when Chris was in his late teens. Chris admired and looked up to his grandpa Boyd. That is why we named our son Boyd Christopher. The funny thing is that I planned on being induced so that they could share the same birthday cause the due date was only off by four days. But there was no need for the induction cause he came early on his own. So not only will they share the same name, but the same birthday I think Grandpa Boyd had a hand in the whole thing and I think that's pretty cool.

These are Chris's Mother Dorothy's Parents Russell A. and Marian M. Evans.

These were just some of the WWII soldiers. Its an amazing sight to see. Its overwhelming to see just a small chunk of young men who died for our freedom.

Chris and I have been married for two wonderful years... I am so lucky to have him in my life. ( Especially with the way I treated him while we were dating... Our Ride up the Canyons

Last week Chris and I were able to take the bike out. It was still pretty cold, but it was so much fun. We took pictures on two of our trips up the canyons...

We live less then five minutes from the mouth of Butterfiled Canyon. Its so much fun to go up and see the beautiful views. We were only able to go half way up because of all the snow on the roads, but it was still a fun ride.

After going up Butterfield we thought we would go up Little Cottonwood. We left our jackets home cause it was such a nice day... Boy was that a mistake! By the time we made it to Snowbird we were FREEZING... :) But it was so much fun to get away for a while...

GRRR what more can I say. :)

Operation Blarney stone

When Chris and I were married we planned our honeymoon in Palm Springs California. Before we left my Grandpa Jolley asked Chris to bring back the "Family Blarney Stone" and that is when Operation Blarney Stone began.

( So here is a little history) This is a picture of the house I grew up in. Before my family lived in this home my Grandparents lived there. I'm not sure of all the details, but my Grandpa found this REALLY HEAVY Stone our family calls the "Blarney Stone." He thought it would be a great idea to have this stone out front, so that whenever a boy came to date one of my Aunts they would have to lift its stone. If they couldn't lift the stone then my Grandfather would send them away. ( We have tried to weigh the stone but it just broke the scale)

So while we were in the area we decided to drop in and " Borrow" the stone. :)

So this Big Heavy Stone stayed in the back of his Hummer the rest of our Honeymoon.
and as for the people that now live in our old California home... :) they still have NO idea what happened to there rock outside there front door. ( However, I heard that they have since replaced the empty hole we left them... ;) Oops )

This picture is priceless... Ashton ( my nephew) loves taking pictures with his moms camera especially of his new sister Annika. Its so fun watching Laura's two boys. If Preston holds Annika then immediately Ashton needs his turn holding her. There good big brothers.

Africa

This past weekend Chris was asked be apart of a ward activity. (He wasn't to excited about talking in front of a large crowd.) He was asked to bring in so things from his trip to Africa and talk about the country and the people there. He felt a lot of pressure cause he was only there for 2 weeks and the whole time he was working on the Ghana Temple. He did so awesome. He ended up having a blast, it was a lot of fun...

Chris's sister had her first little girl Sunday May 4th ( just a few hours after Boyd was blessed.) We were all so excited... ( Even if Boyd wasn't showing it... )

Our Remodeling Job

Boyd was blessed on Sunday so Chris used it as an excuse to do some remodeling around the house. He started with just wanting a larger fireplace, but you know Chris he couldn't just stop there... We forgot to take a before shot so this is the only picture we could find. ( Don't mind the chairs...)

Chris did such an AWESOME job!!! I'm really happy on how it turned out. He did a little more than just a bigger fireplace, but I wont complain...

While we were at Home Depot one night Chris decided our laundry room needed a new floor also... ( Like he wasn't busy enough... ) I love being married to a handy man.

Last summer Chris and I put in our yard and planted 25 trees in the front. We planted them late in the year so we wondered all winter if they would survive. Out of 25 only 1 didn't make it... We're still not done with the yard, but we like how its coming along.

Its amazing how fast they grow. Boyd went in on the 7th for his 2 month check up and he is already 14.5 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile on both weight and height. I never thought he would be in 6-9 month clothing at 2 months....
